Fowler considers stronger police complaints board

The provincial board that reviews complaints against Edmonton police officers may need the added ability to independently investigate officer misconduct, Solicitor General Dick Fowler says.
Fowler said Thursday he may want to adopt some of the process used by the two-year-old RCMP Public Complaints Commission when he reviews and revamps Alberta’s Law Enforcement Review Board.
